Working with named cooperatives in the Brong-Ahafo region, IJA Commodities Ltd. has begun a chain-of-custody pilot tracking Raw Cashew Nuts from cooperative weighbridge to container.
The pilot covers the 2026 main crop and runs through Q3. Each lot is logged with cooperative ID, gross weight, moisture, KOR, and shipping marks before consolidation in Tema for export to processing partners in Vietnam and India.
We are deploying SMS-based weight confirmations at the cooperative level, with paper duplicates retained for audit. Quality results from independent inspection (SGS) feed back to the producer in advance of payment.
The objective is to make Ghanaian RCN bookable on traceability terms — buyers in the EU and US increasingly demand origin-level documentation, and the producer is the natural beneficiary of the premium it commands.
