Origin discipline.
We work direct with producers, cooperatives and licensed channels at origin — not through brokers' brokers. The result is the right grade at the right price, every shipment, with traceability back to a named source.
IJA Commodities Ventures is a Ghana-anchored trading house. We source hydrocarbons, sugar, cashew and gold — alongside rice, cocoa, coffee and soy — from West African producers and global origin markets, and deliver them under documented quality and banking-backed terms into demand centres across Europe, Asia, the Middle East and the Americas.
A cargo doesn't reach a buyer because someone agreed a price. It reaches a buyer because the right grade was sourced from a verified producer, the right inspection was carried out at loading, the right finance instrument was confirmed on time, the right vessel left on the right day, and the right paperwork landed at discharge. Get any of those wrong and the deal becomes a dispute.
IJA is built around getting all of them right. We are not a brokerage layered on top of someone else's flow — we are the counterparty. Every desk holds its own producer relationships, its own banking lines, its own quality regime. Counterparties deal with the people executing the trade, not with intermediaries.
Crude oil, refined products and LPG sourced from West African producers and refined inventory globally.
Raw VHP and refined ICUMSA-45 sugar delivered into West African and global demand centres.
RCN sourced direct from Ghana, Côte d'Ivoire, Tanzania and Mozambique with traceability from cooperative to container.
Responsibly sourced doré from Ghana's licensed producers, refined through LBMA-accredited partners in Dubai and Zürich.
We work direct with producers, cooperatives and licensed channels at origin — not through brokers' brokers. The result is the right grade at the right price, every shipment, with traceability back to a named source.
Independent pre-shipment inspection, certificate of analysis, and chain-of-custody documentation are non-negotiable. SGS, Bureau Veritas and Cotecna across the corridors. If we can't document it, we don't ship it.
Every cargo is paired with the appropriate trade-finance instrument — confirmed L/C, structured pre-export, receivables-backed. Counterparties don't carry our risk and we don't carry theirs.
RFQs answered within one business day. Operational issues escalated, not deflected. The business runs on trust accumulated one shipment at a time.
From RFQ to settled cargo, IJA runs every transaction through the same operational shape. The detail varies by commodity, but the discipline does not.
Buyer or seller submits an RFQ specifying product, grade, volume, delivery terms and target window. We respond with availability, indicative pricing and proposed contract framework within one business day.
KYC, AML, sanctions screening (OFAC, EU, UN), PEP checks, and bank reference verification on both sides before any commercial paper is exchanged.
Bilateral sale and purchase agreement covering product specification, quantity tolerance, delivery terms (Incoterms 2020), payment terms, inspection regime, force majeure and governing law.
Confirmed letter of credit, structured pre-export finance, or receivables-backed facility — sized to the cargo, instrument selected to the route.
Direct booking with producer, mill or refiner. Pre-shipment inspection scheduled. Loading window confirmed. Documentation pack assembled.
Vessel or container booking, marine cover, certificate of origin, certificate of analysis, bill of lading. Real-time visibility through to discharge.
Documentary settlement against compliant presentation. Post-shipment KPIs reviewed jointly with the counterparty before the next contract is signed.
At the core of our business philosophy is unwavering reliability and integrity. Clients can trust IJA Commodities for transparent transactions, timely deliveries, and a commitment to ethical business practices.
Quality is the cornerstone of IJA Commodities. We adhere to rigorous standards to ensure that every product leaving our warehouses meets or exceeds industry benchmarks.
With a global network and strategic partnerships, IJA Commodities transcends geographical boundaries. We facilitate seamless international trade, connecting markets and fostering mutually beneficial relationships between producers and consumers worldwide.
As a forward-thinking commodities company, we embrace innovation in trade practices. Our adaptive approach allows us to navigate the dynamic landscape of the commodities market, ensuring that our clients benefit from cutting-edge solutions and industry best practices.
Physical commodity prices are anchored to futures and OTC benchmarks — Brent and WTI for crude, ICE NY11 for raw sugar, LBMA AM/PM fix for gold, regional spot indices for cashew and other softs. We hedge price risk on every position large enough to merit it.
What we don't do is take a directional house view. We are not a commodity speculator. Our P&L comes from origin advantage, logistics, financing and counterparty service — not from being right about price.
